Grapes (Vitis vinifera) have a long history of medicinal use datingback at least 6000 years. The medicinal value of grapes comes from the powerful antioxidants contained within their leaves, skins, and seeds. Flavonoids, polyphenols, and oligomeric proanthocyanidin complexes (OPC’s) are highly concentrated in grape seeds while resveratrol is found mainly in the grape skin. Grape seed extract, and the antioxidants within, may provide nutritional support for vascular health and cellular fluid balance. Synergistically, resveratrol provides nutritive support for healthy cardiovascular function while providing antioxidant support.
