Quercetin is a naturally occurring bioflavonoid with antioxidant activity, and can be found in a range of fruits and vegetables. It may impact athletic performance by affecting muscle mitochondria and blood flow. Additionally, quercetin may play a role in limiting oxidative stress and inflammation. Quercetin is considered a phytoestrogen (a plant substance with similar functions as that of estrogen).
